About
David Gosnell holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Master of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. The city’s extensive collection of great art, design, and architecture cultivated David’s aesthetic sensibilities and inspired him to pursue a career in architecture. While attending graduate school at IIT, he worked in the office of Murphy/Jahn. Through this experience, David was able to apply classroom learning in a professional environment and further hone his eye for design alongside many accomplished architects.
After graduating, David returned to his home state of Iowa and joined INVISION Architecture where he applies his passion for good design to all projects, regardless of scale or budget. He has extensive experience in the commercial, hospitality, and higher education markets, and is quick to adapt to new project types. David continues to foster his love of computers and technology and it is reflected in his design process and projects.
David has been a licensed architect since 2012 and a LEED Accredited Professional since 2009. He is active in the Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), serving on the AIA Iowa Convention Committee since 2010.
David’s enthusiasm for design and making are apparent in his other creative pursuits including furniture design, photography, and architectural model building.
